Headline: Naomi Watts shows Eastern Promise

Naomi Watts has signed on to star alongside Viggo Mortensen in Eastern Promises for director David Cronenberg. The script by Steve Knight will follow Anna (Watts) , a midwife at a London hospital who gets dragged into the criminal underworld when she tries to discover the identity of a dead patient. Focus Features will distribute in the US, UIP in the UK.
