Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Forgetting Sarah Marshall on 30th September 2008. The latest comedy from the team behind 'Knocked Up' and 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' follows struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) who is dumped by his long-term girlfriend, TV star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell), and goes into a downward spiral. After a clumsy attempt at becoming a lothario backfires, he almost loses his job when he has a nervous breakdown. In a last ditch effort to put the past behind him, Peter heads for the sun-soaked beaches of Oahu for a well-deserved holiday. Everything goes swimmingly until Sarah turns up at the exact same resort accompanied by her new boyfriend, the wildly successful rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand)...
Available in single-disc (Widescreen or Full Screen, $29.98 SRP) and two-disc Collector’s Edition (Widescreen $34.98 SRP) versions, the former offers both the original theatrical cut (111mins) and unrated extended version (118mins) plus extras while the latter throws in a second disc full of additional bonus content.
