National Lampoon's Dorm Daze 2 (2006) Synopsis:

This time, the turf hits the surf as the students of Billingsley U. ditch campus life for fun, sun and high times on the high seas. When the good ship Surveyor leaves port for romantic Mexico, rules, inhibitions and school clothes are quickly cast off as the salty air and the skimpy swimwear get everyone in the mood to mate. All aboard for laughs as these college hotties put the motion in the ocean in this wet 'n' wild romantic comedy.

National Lampoon's Dorm Daze 2 (2006) DVD Review:

Nearly every successful filmmaker these days relies on the material of artists that came before them. Even if the screenplay isn’t adapted from any source material, shots, sequences and scenes are often pulled from classic films and timeless stories. What makes a film interesting is if it takes a familiar element or story and puts it in an unfamiliar situation. Dorm Daze 2 somehow manages to capture the comedy of errors, which was often used by Shakespeare in his comedies, and sets it in a teen sex comedy. Did I mention that it also takes place on a boat? There are a lot of things happening in Dorm Daze, and whether it is by calculated preparation or sheer accident, but some of the elements are actually quite good. There only demands the patience to sit through the rest to get these small gems.

For their sophomore year, most of the same students are jumping onto a cruise ship for a unique kind of study abroad, although we never actually see them in class. The ship Surveyor takes on the students of Billingsley University as they prepare two plays to compete against each other. One involves a murder mystery and a stolen diamond, so everything is confused when a real jewel is mixed with the many fake jewels used as props. Someone lurks through the ship, stopping at nothing to get the jewel, and the mystery in the play leaks onto the entire voyage.

Even though the film quickly crams in some murder mystery sequences, they are quickly erased from mind by the real reason for the film; sexploitation. This time around it is made obvious that nobody can escape safely. Men and women alike are equally humiliated with the usual sex-capade behavior we have come to expect from college age characters in comedies. So, in sake of equal rights, men and women are equally treated as objects in Dorm Daze 2.

The DVD comes with a commentary track with the filmmakers, as well as deleted scenes that have the same option. The blooper/gag reel is remarkable predictable, and usually not that funny. There is also a Vida Guerra featurette, which is somewhat ridiculous, though luckily enough not only about the painfully bad actress. There is also a great deal of footage that was shot during a promotional photo shoot, which has plenty of extra skin for those who didn’t see enough in the film.
