Young Hollywood celebrities read the diaries of young people who lived during the Nazi holocaus.

I'm Still Here: Real Diaries Of Young People Who Live During The Holocaust Review:

I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust is an MTV produced short film whose aim is to create awareness and foster a feeling of urgency about genocide, both during World War II and in the present. The film attempts to do this and honor those who both lived and suffered at the cruel hands of the Nazi leadership, by reading the diaries of a group of various young people whose lives were ripped apart because of their religion.

I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust is a combination of archive footage, photos and nature shots while some of Hollywood’s biggest names in youth actors read the diaries of young Jewish writers. The short film features diaries read by Ryan Gosling (Lars and the Real Girl, The United States of Leland), Kate Hudson (You, Me and Dupree, How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days), and Kate’s brother Oliver Hudson (Black Christmas, Rules of Engagement). Other readers include, Elijah Wood (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Amber Tamblyn (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Joan of Arcadia), Brittany Murphy (Riding in Cars With Boys, Drop Dead Gorgeous) and two time Academy Award nominated actor Joaquin Phoenix (Walk the Line, We Own the Night). Together this list of Hollywood heavy-weights give honor and commemorate the Holocaust survivors and its victims.

I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust is narrated by MTV News’ John Norris and is hosted by Zach Braff (Garden State, SCRUBS). The film features a beautiful and unobtrusive score by humanitarian and Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter Moby.

I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust is an important and poignant film. It ingeniously takes on modern genocide and holocaust by reminding society of the horrors of Hitler’s reign and the effect that thinking like his has on the world. I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust is one of the most important films made in recent, reminding the world where we came from in hopes of not allowing it to happen again.

The I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust DVD release includes several special features including a featurette entitled Genocide Today. The DVD also includes the MTV News Segment I’m Still Here as well as the USHMM interview with Alexandra Zapruder, the film’s writer. The DVD also includes a printable study guide.

I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust is presented in full frame with a stereo soundtrack.
