Cousin Bette (1998) Synopsis:

Jessica Lange has a high time turning the vindictive heroine of 19th-Century French novelist Honore de Balzac's classic into a soap-opera vixen, and a bawdy Elisabeth Shue reveals a good touch at sexual farce (that's not all she reveals) in Des McAnuff's slick, superficial adaptation.
