Walking To Werner Synopsis:

'Werner' is, of course, Werner Herzog - perhaps the most notorious filmmaker currently alive: for over four decades, he's been the subject of wild rumours, exaggerated reports, and every so often, a filmed homage like this: a loving, suitably oddball tribute from a novice filmmaker. As a young man, Herzog famously once walked from Munich to Paris to visit a dying friend, and Phillips (who looks, at times, uncannily like the director's old collaborator/nemesis, Klaus Kinski) vows to do much the same: walking from his Seattle base, to Herzog's house in Los Angeles. Along the way, he encounters some strange, friendly and occasionally scary people, struggles with self-doubt and the physical hardship of his quest, and generally comes to know himself, and the world, a little better. And in the end ... ah, but that would be telling.
