Air Guitar Nation (2007) Synopsis:

Clapton? Big deal. Eddie Van Halen? So what. And Steve Vai ... well, let's just forget Steve Vai. Face it, any bozo can play onstage, in front of tens of thousands of screaming fans: but it takes real genius - and, judging from this hysterical documentary, more than a dash of self-delusion - to be an Air Guitar Hero. From its humble origins as a friendly contest above a New York strip club, Lipsitz follows a number of competitors across the US, and all the way to Finland - a Mecca for air guitar wannabes - to compete in the Air Guitar World Championship.
