Synopsis

From the filmmakers of "Gunner Palace," Petra Epperlein and Michael Tucker,comes a new documentary about the treatment on one specific Iraqi journalist who was held prisoner at Abu Ghraib prison for over nine months. Yunnis Abbas, tells his horrifying tale of being arrested in the middle of the night, interrogated and tortured for weeks about something he knew nothing about: plotting to kill Tony Blair. Sent to prison with his three brothers we see not only their perspective but also that of the soldiers who arrested him and those who detained him. All of which paints a grim picture of how our prisons operate in Iraq and the way we conduct our occupation. The film uses footage shot by the filmmakers, Yunnis himself, cartoon illustrations, exaggerated sound effects, and distinctive chapter breaks to tell its story.
