Synopsis

Mitchie (Demi Lovato) is desperate to fit in at Camp Rock and fudges a few details about her past and snobs off some people just to be accepted by the camp’s self proclaimed queen Tess (Meaghan Jette Martin). Mitchie soon discovers that being friends with Tess means constantly taking a back seat to her and her dreams of singing on her own at “Final Jam” do not coincide with Tess’ constant need to be the center of attention. Meanwhile, to try and shed his celebrity bad boy image, Shane (Joe Jonas) is ordered to be a counselor and teacher at the camp, which he was a member of years before. Shane soon discovers how much the music industry has taken away from his originality and is searching for the link to bring a new sound to his music, which he finds in Mitchie.
