George Clooney has added to his huge list of movies in development by signing on to direct The Belmont Boys.

The Belmont Boys follows seven thieves who first meet at the horse track and nearly pull off the job of a lifetime. They reunite 30 years later, to finish what they started. The film will shoot in the U.S. and Europe.

Brian Koppelman and David Levien are writing the script that will be produced by Jerry Weintraub.

He'll slot this in after starring in White Jazz, Leatherheads and Burn After Reading sometime in 2008!
