Looks like the lure of the superhero movie paycheck has proven too much for even the luvvie brigade with the news today that Gwyneth Paltrow has joined the cast of Iron Man.

She'll play Virginia "Pepper" Potts, personal assistant to an industrialist who develops an armored suit to battle bad guys.

Filming will start in March in Los Angeles.
