Headline: Katie Holmes Mad but not Dark!

Katie Holmes has signed up to star in Mad Money alongside Queen Latifah.

The comedy will follow three female employees of the Federal Reserve who plot to steal money that is about to be destroyed. No word yet on who the third actress is.

The movie is being written and directed by Callie Khouri who previously wrote Thelma & Louise.

And this news confirms that Holmes is OUT of the Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight. Filming would conflict as Knight starts in March.

But of course, Holmes signing up to this may just be a cover for her being ditched from Dark Knight, as her performance in that was widely viewed as the only weak part of the movie.
