Hellboy star Ron Perlman has signed on to star and executive produce Standing Down for Big Screen Entertainment Group.

The flick will follow the story of Sgt. Patrick Ulysses Macklin (Perlman), a career soldier who must face the prospect of life without the US Army.

Co-starring alongside the big lunk will be Fugees singer Pras Michel, with the scrip by Ron Zimmermann.
