Clint Eastwood and Angelina Jolie look to have been signed up to, respectively, direct and star in The Changeling for Universal Pictures.

The project was originally being developed as a Ron Howard directing gig, he'll now produce alongside his Imagine Entertainment partner Brian Grazer.

The flick will tell the tale of a woman whose son is abducted but retrieved; she suspects, however, that the returned child is not her kid. The woman must then confront corruption in the LAPD. The story is based on true events in 1920s Los Angeles.
