Ok he isn't literally going to go the whole method acting route and 'become' a woman to be The Time Traveler's Wife. Well consider how much method acting he used to play Chopper I wouldn't be surprised.

Instead Eric Bana has signed on to star alongside Rachel McAdam's in The Time Traveler's Wife, and no doubt he will be the Time Traveler, and she'll be the wife.

The flick is being directed by Robert Schwentke, based on the book by Audrey Niffenegger that follows a Chicago librarian with a genetic disorder that causes him to time-travel when he is under duress. Though his disorder causes him to vanish for long periods, he tries to build a life with the woman he loves. She's a young heiress struggling with the arrangement.
