20th Century Fox have snapped up the big screen rights to EA's massive The Sims.

The game is the largest selling PC game ever, estimated to have sold over 85 million copies so it was pretty inevitable that Hollywood would want a piece of the cash cow.

John Davis is producing and Brian Lynch will pen the script. Although what kind of script it is going to be is anyone's guess? Will the characters need their lifes managed in much the same way as the game, I sure as hell hope not, as making sure that your Sim goes to the toilet regularly is not something I care to see at the cinema!
