Yes you heard correctly. It seems it could hold off no longer. Someone has actually suggested remaking Police Academy and apparently no one was against the idea.
Set for release next year, pre-production has started on the revamp of the well-known collection of films.
The original cast are returning to reprise their roles including G. W. Bailey as Harris, Steve Guttenberg as Mahoney and even Michael 'Man of 10,000 sound effects' Winslow as Jones.
Neal Israel and Pat Proft are returning to their Academy roots writing the screenplay again and Hugh Wilson is directing...again.
The question on everyones minds is will it be funny this time.
