Headline: Chris Pine is Captain Kirk!

Confirmation looks finally to have reached over who just will be playing Captain James T. Kirk in JJ Abrams reboot of the franchise.

And it is....Chris Pine , who rumours started circulating about last week. He was supposed to be filming a flick for Joe Carnahan at about the same time, but Carnahan has revealed Pine couldn't make the schedule work and has dropped out to take the Trek job.

That just leaves Kirk's parents to be cast and the film is ready to go!
