You can out those fears that Rocky Balboa was going to be an utter dog and end up as direct to video to oneside as news comes in today that MGM will distribute the movie in cinema's on 22nd December 2006. This is six weeks ahead of what had originally been planned. It also drops it right into Oscar and Christmas seasons. Could this be a return to the Oscar winning quality of the very first movie, looks like MGM think so anyway!
