Michael Chiklis has joined the cast of the Shia LaBeouf starring Eagle Eye as the U.S. secretary of defense in the story that revolves around a slacker (Shia LaBeouf) and a single mother (Michelle Monaghan) who form an unlikely partnership when they are framed as terrorists and forced to become members of a cell with plans to carry out a political assassination.

Also starring in the D.J. Caruso flick are Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Azizi and Anthony Mackie.

The script has been written by Hillary Seitz.
