Adrien Brody has signed on to star alongsider Jeffrey Wright in Cadillac Records.

The flick that is being written and directed by Darnell Martin will explore Chicago in the 1950s, charting the colorful lives of American musical legends like Waters, Chess, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf and Elvis Presley. It will film in New Jersey and Mississippi.


Brody will play famed blues/R&B record executive Leonard Chess, and Wright will be Muddy Waters. Joining them in the cast are Columbus Short, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Cedric the Entertainer and Tammy Blanchard.
