Headline: Brad Bird travels back to 1906!

Director Brad Bird has revealed that he is making the jump from directing CG animated movies to a live action flick in the shape of 1906.

The story centers on a college student who begins to investigate the murder of his father, uncovering a web of deceit that has left the city vulnerable to the sort of fire that breaks out when the Great Earthquake of 1906 hits San Francisco.


Bird will direct, based on the script by John Logan, that Bird is currently rewriting.

Warner Bros. and Disney Pixar are jointly developing the movie.
