From Monday the site will totally be relaunching with hundreds of upgrades that will totally take realmovienews.com to the cutting edge of movie fan dom on the net!

We'll reveal just some of those features over the following week but today we'll reveal one of the BIG ones!

The sites database is becoming totally open, which means you can add to/change and update EVERYTHING on the site!

Just like wikipedia, but better as we've built it so you just type in the information you want to add, click save and bang its live on the site!

If you're a fan of say Brad Pitt, and you hear he's going to be in a new film before anyone else, you can add that to the site, and its live instantly!

I think I counted over 100 different ways you can add information to the site at last count.

You can add trailers, posters, movie stills, movies, add cast info, release dates, colour, synopsis, tag lines, quotes, filming locations, hell just about anything!

And why are we doing this? First off because you've told us you want it! We get emails every day telling us bits of movie gossip, so why not let you post it up yourself?

Secondly we got so pissed off about movie info being woefully out of date and just plain wrong on imdb and so wanted to change it! But the process to change anything was so convoluted it was a waste of time, and you never knew if they would ever listen!

Tomorrow we'll start to reveal some of the cool social things you as a user will be able to do.......
