Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Pineapple Express on 6th January 2009. The latest comedy from producer Judd Apatow follows a pair of druggie losers as they reach the top of the hit-list when one witnesses a mob murder and drags his buddy into a crazy flight from mobsters bent on silencing both of them permanently. The film stars Seth Rogen who penned the screenplay alongside Evan Goldberg from a story they concocted with Apatow. Also starring are James Franco, Danny McBride, Rosie Perez and Gary Cole. The film is directed by David Gordon Green.
Available in single-disc theatrical cut only, single-disc unrated ($28.96 SRP each) and two-disc unrated editions ($34.95 SRP) features are detailed below…

Seth Rogen, James Franco & Director David Gordon Green discuss adding the element of hard-core action into the comedy genre, including a behind-the-scenes look at several stunts.
