Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro have signed up to co-star in Things We Lost In The Fire for Dreamworks.

Directing the movie is Susanne Bier, with the script by Allan Loeb. The movie will follow a woman (Berry) whose husband suddenly dies. She invites her husband's troubled best friend (Del Toro) to live with her family, and as the friend turns his life around, he helps the grief-stricken family confront their loss.

Sam Mendes (Jarhead) will produce the movie with Sam Mercer. No word yet on when this will film, but sounds like an Oscar type project if ever we heard one.
