New Line and HBO specialty film label Picturehouse have acquired the US rights to Vie En Rose, a biopic of French nightclub singer Edith Piaf written and directed by Oliver Dahan. The film follows Piaf's rise from the slums of Paris to the limelight of New York while she struggled with her passionate romances and relationships with some of the greatest names of the 1940s and '50s. Marion Cotillard stars with Gerard Depardieu as Louis Leplee.
