Headline: Wenstein's snap up Knight Rider

Bob and Harvey Weinstein have snapped up Glen A. Larson's classic 80's TV show Knight Rider for the big screen.

Now word yet on who will star, direct or write the project. Just the word that they've picked up the big screen rights to the project.

The original show starred David Hasselhoff as a cop who's been left to die and is nursed back to health by a mysterious millionaire. The moneyman also gives the cop a new face; a new name, Michael Knight; and crime-fighting gadgetry, including KITT, the car with artificial intelligence.

Will The Weinstein's bring back the Hoffmeister as Knight, who knows too early to say.
