Headline: Cheadle to Talk to Me?

Don Cheadle and Chiwetel Ejiofor have signed to to star in a biopic about an ex-con turned DJ who became a prominent voice for the D.C. black community during the 1960s. Cheadle will play Ralph Waldo "Petey" Green, who with his producer, Dewey Hughes (Ejiofor), fought to stay on the air at a white-owned station during the civil rights movement.

Focus Features will distribute the movie, that will be directed by Kasi Lemmons, with a script by Michael Genet.

Filming is thought to be starting this June.
