Headline: Keener hides in The Basement!

Catherine Keener and Ellen Page have signed on to star in The Basement that will be directed by Tommy O'Haver.

The movie will be based on the true story of a murder that stunned the US in the mid-1960s, the film will center on Getrude Baniszewski (Keener), a seemingly ordinary housewife and the mother of seven, who imprisons a beautiful teenager Sylvia Likens (Page), who has been left in her charge, in the basement of her Indiana home.

Filming will start in LA later this month, and the script has been written by O' Haver and Irene Turner.
