Headline: British cast suffer Atonement

Brenda Blethyn, Vanessa Redgrave and Romola Garai have joined Keira Knightly and James McAvoy and newcomer Saoirse Ronan for Atonement from Focus Features and Universal Pictures International. The Ian McEwan adaptation stars Ronan as a 13-year-old who damages the lives of all around her when she accuses her sister's boyfriend of a crime he did not commit. Joe Wright is working on the script with a planned 2007 release.
