Headline: Butler to become Priest

The Phantom of the Opera star Gerard Butler is looking to star in the horror Priest set to be directed by Andrew Douglas who previously helmed The Amityville Horror remake. The Cory Goodman script, based on Tokyopop's graphic novel created by Min-Woo Hyung, is a vampire Western. A warrior priest disobeys church law by teaming with a sheriff and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped his niece. Steven Strait is also in the casting frame as the Sheriff. Michael De Luca, Sam Raimi, Josh Donen and Mitchell Peck are producing.
