Angelina Jolie is to star in A Mighty Heart, an adaptation of Mariane Pearl’s memoir about the kidnapping and murder of her journalist husband Daniel Pearl by Pakistani militants. Also a journalist, Pearl was pregnant at the time. The drama ended as Pearl was murdered by his abductors, suspected to be Muslim terrorists tied to Al Qaeda.
Michael Winterbottom is in talks to direct for Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company. Laurence Coriat and Winterbottom penned the script.
