Warner Bros. Pictures has picked up the rights to David Klass' young-adult novel Firestorm which revolves around a seemingly normal high school senior who finds himself at the center of an epic battle that's being fought both now and a thousand years in the future. The fate of Earth hangs in the balance. The second installment of the trilogy, Whirlwind, will focus on rainforests, while Timelock will address global warming. Basil Iwanyk's Thunder Road will produce.
