Headline: Doueiri lined up for The Attack

The Attack for Random House Films and Focus Features is to be directed by Ziad Doueiri. The film, written by Joelle Touma, is based on a French novel by Yasmina Khadra about an Arab surgeon in Tel Aviv who learns a devastating secret about his wife's involvement in a suicide bombing, says The Hollywood Reporter. Khadra is the pseudonym for Mohammed Moulessehoul, a former Algerian army officer who adopted a woman's pen name to avoid military censorship.
