Headline: Schrader to tackle Holocaust movie

The writer of Taxi Driver and the director of gritty drama Affliction and the deeper version of Exorcist: The Beginning Paul Schrader will handle the Holocaust for his next film Adam Resurrected written by Noah Strollman and adapted from the Yoram Kaniuk book.

The story follows Adam, a Jewish circus entertainer, kept alive by the Nazis to humour their captives. After surviving the war he ends up at a mental institute trying to come to terms with the madness he witnessed.
