Vincent Cassel has joined the cast of the David Cronenberg movie Eastern Promises. The Viggo Mortensen/ Naomi Watts movie follows Naomi Watts’ as a nurse investigating the death of a young Russian prostitute who dies in childbirth. She discovers a Russian police sting trying to take down a major Mafia prostitution ring. Vincent Cassel has agreed to play Petrid, a Russian whose family owns a brothel in the city.
