Headline: Caine and Law in Remake

Taking a break from Shakespeare adaptations, director Kenneth Branagh will helm a remake of Sleuth set to star Jude Law and Michael Caine. Caine starred in the 1972 original which Harold Pinter adapted from the Anthony Shaffer play. This time, Caine will play a brilliant thriller writer and social fixture who's so upset at losing his wife to a young hairdresser (Law) that he hatches a complex revenge plan. Caine played the hairdresser in the original and Laurence Olivier played the writer. Castle Rock are financing.
