Colin Firth, Matthew Broderick and Bette Midler have joined Helen Hunt in Then She Found Me, the drama on which Hunt makes her feature directing debut. Hunt plays a schoolteacher found by her birth mother (Midler) during a tumultuous time in her life. Broderick is playing Hunt's husband, and Firth a man she meets through one of her students. Alice Arlen wrote the first adaptation of Lipman's novel. Vic Levin and Hunt rewrote it and then Hunt did the final polish.
