Headline: Senator snaps up The Informer!

Senator Entertainment have snapped up the movie rights to Bret Easton Ellis's short story collection The Informer.

Ellis is writing the scrip in collaboration with director Nicholas Jarecki (who is helming), and will also executive produce.

The stories capture a week in L.A. in 1983, featuring movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters in adventures laced with sex, drugs and violence.

Filming is thought to be being planned for L.A. early next year.
