Jason Statham has signed on to star in Baker Street that will be directed by Roger Donaldson.

The script by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais is based on the true story of the now legendary 1971 Baker Street bank robbery. The story has remained untold for over 35 years due to a government gagging order.

Baker Street tells how one of the biggest robberies in British history took place with no arrests ever made, nor money ever recovered. It also tells the story of a vault full of secrets, the scandals that unfurled and the lives lost in the pursuit for the truth to stay "hidden."
